I've bit the bullet, drank the Kool-aid (was that a product placement?)
and decided to start a new blog called Conversational Media Marketing. (More
on why in a moment.)
Having blogged in many places (Allbusiness.com, Weblogs Inc, Creative-Weblogging, Active Rain, plus a few of my own making) I know something of what's involved. While the idea of starting yet another blog intrigues me to no end, I understand the time and effort required to make it something of value.
Honestly, I've debated ad nauseum about whether re-entering the blogosphere is even worth the effort. After all, with the growth of other forms of conversational media, does blogging really matter as much as it once did?
Add to that the multiplied millions of blogs that crowd the landscape and the fact that there are already several bloggers writing ardently and adroitly on the subject I've chosen, conversational media marketing, and I continue to be tempted to step back from the precipice yet again. But, no, it's time to re-engage. Taking everything into consideration, blogging still matters, so long as what's shared contains value for the reader.
In the next post, I'll go into some detail about why I've chosen to blog again and talk about the topic at hand, conversational media marketing. Let me say for the record that I don't anticipate posting on a daily basis. Unless otherwise inspired, I'm sticking with a weekly posting schedule. (Of course, knowing me like I do, the likelihood is that I'll post in spurts, so don't hold me to that weekly schedule idea too stringently.)
If you'd like to come along for the ride please subscribe to one of the subscription options, RSS feed or Feedblitz email. That's the best way to keep up...but, then again, you knew that already.
See? You decide to come back and within seconds of reading your post I learn something new. You could not stay away Paul, admit it! : )
Happy Thanksgiving btw.
