Liveblogging SLEC small biz bootcamp

UPDATE: My co-worker Jared Allardyce is now speaking. He's doing great too! Very amiable, relational, conversational. It seems at ease, even though I know he's very nervous. Talking about the way the web works and how to stand out from the crowd.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to do some live blog posts of the SLEC small business marketing bootcamp as I await my speaking slot. I want to use these posts as an example of the immediacy of blogging and social media.

Currently, there is panel of advertising experts representing various disciplines... promotional products, radio, yellow pages, etc.

Hey, where are the guys? No matter, these ladies are much easier on the eye.  :-)

BTW, in case you're following this, I've got several Technorati tags, but slecbootcamp is the one I'm using from here on.

Also, it would be cool if you would leave a comment, as I need to show attendees how that works. Be nice!!! Nothing snarky please.

Comments are about creating conversation- the give and take of me learning from you and you learning from me. Together we push ideas, and dialog forward.

Also, I get hits to my blog from comments I leave on other blogs- more opportunities for dialog and learning.

"I hope you don't mind" seems to be the very antithesis of the modern "discussion" web, Paul. So much so, that it is jarring to see it on your blog entry! I suggest instead that the Web is comprised of millions of people whose motto is "if you mind, go somewhere else" :-)

Allow me to explain however...It's my southern roots. I place great value on courtesy...to a fault. That extends itself to my interactions on the Web. It always has. Hence, the preface.

Your comment offers an instructional example. That being that comments can serve to stimulate meaningful discussion and stimulate deeper thought. That's exactly what your's did, and I thank too. (See, that courtesy thing again.)

Nervous indeed and I'm sure it showed! I just hope it didn't detract from the information and that the audience gained something. I truly appreciated the opportunity and enjoyed listening to all of the presenters. Kudos to SLEC and The W.L Gaiennie Company for putting on the event.
