Every couple of years I find a need to "refeather the nest" and make changes to my online presence. Don't ask me why, I just do. (I really can't explain why honestly.) And I'm doing it again in preparation for the relesae of my new book, The Digital Handshake, due out in September.
I've decided to take all the places where I have a presence - Conversational Media Marketing, Active Rain, and this site, The Social Media Handyman - and roll them up into one that's probably going to be branded under my name.
There's a slight problem with that...PaulChaney.com is already taken and has been for years. Some artist in Pensacola, FL I think, and no relation to me. In lieu of that, I'm toying with using either PaulChaney.net or, possibly, PaulChaney.me. (What'd you think?)
There's a bit of angst associated with making such a shift. I risk losing some PR rank on the Conversational Media Marketing blog. My friends at Active Rain may be mad at me for forsaking them. (Maybe I can cross-post over there or something.)
So, I'll be working on adding some design elements to this site to make it look not so bland. Think of it as a work in progress that will take a few days weeks to complete. But, I'll get there soon enough.
So, here we go again, hopefully for the last time. That remains to be seen.
