Yesterday, in my post at MarketingProfs Daily Fix blog, I listed what I referred to as Seven Social Media Mindset Markers. In reviewing the comments, I noticed one person suggested "relevancy" be added to the list. The commenter said, "In #1, I think relevancy is as important. It's kind of a given but it's worth putting it in your list (well too late ;-). If you're not relevant, you're out."
Of course, we've long lived in an "instant" society. Why else would we have drive-thru windows at fast food restaurants. We want what we want when we want it. It's not surprising that instanteous, up-to-the-minute Web content be part of that behavior. Now it is and forever it will be."Real-time information delivery is fast emerging as one of the most important elements of our online experience. No more waiting for the Pony Express to deliver a parcel cross-country, no more waiting for web services to communicate from one polling instance to another. This is information being available to you at nearly the moment it's produced, whether you're watching for it or not." (Take time to read the full post. It's well worth it.)
